Do I need a hobby and, if so, what?

Do many of you have hobbies that you do from home? Mine are hill walking (I'm in a club) but this is suspended at the moment due to covid. I also devour books. That's about it. Being furloughed, I've had so much free time with so little to do. Usually it's the opposite and I wouldn't have a huge amount of free time with my job. I'm not into big group activities, but am interested in ideas for things I can do from home.

Do you have a garden, or an interest in wildlife?

No, I live in a flat and just have a small balcony.

I took up wild swimming last year. It’s my absolute favourite thing.

I took up knitting a few years ago and find it really relaxing. Also things like adult colouring books and card making are great

Dh is spending his furlough painting watercolours and baking.

I am not on furlough but one other thing we are planning to do is research our house (bog standard Edwardian semi) and the people who lived there. Not much help of course if you live in a modern block of flats that went up last year, but otherwise could be a project.

Or doing your family tree. Everybody has one of them.

Knitting is good if you can get the wool.
