FIL would like to have DD over at his house after lockdown (she’s 9 months) but he has 3 cats and the house stinks and is covered in cat hair.
I’ve been over three times. The first time, we let him know in advance and I had no issues but the other 2 times his house smelt so vile I almost vomited and couldn’t get past the door. I told him it was because I wasn’t feeling well and needed some air. (This is before my DD born)
I’ve spoken to my DH about this and he can’t smell anything and sees no issues (I think he’s got used to the smell) it would be nice for us all to go to his house as we usually meet up at cafes but how do I go about this without offending anyone?
