what food treats do you have in your house, if any?

Do you keep treats in your house? We live rurally 20mins from the nearest supermarket and always have a lot of treats and food in general in store.

But with lockdown and only shopping every 2 weeks (apart from milk / bread / salad topups) we now have a ridiculous amount of treats in a huge tub in the utility room.

I don't think we're eating too many more of them than we ever did...but its comforting to know that if one of us fancies something, we most likely have it in the house!

I cook 99% from scratch and also bake quite a lot but there are times when you just can't beat a starbar, or a turkish delight!

What about you - are you buying more

I don't really see things as treats vs normal food tbh, or keep them in a separate tub etc. We have things like biscuits and chocolate in the house, and probably more of them than normal, simply because we are all in the house more, so we need more food in general than normal. But we don't deliberately keep a big stash of 'treat food' all together.

We always have a multipack of crisps, few packets of biscuits, and some sweets in the house. DC are good with not snacking too much, and they know it's a no if it's only an hour until dinner. I am buying more at the moment but usually it'd only be me at home instead of all 5 of us so no surprise. Me and DH are probably bigger snackers than DC actually Blush

Food shop due tonight but at the minute just some ice cream. No chocolate, crisps, sweets etc

We have some crisps and mini cheddars but they are usually part of lunch rather than a treat.
I do have some Matchmakers and some Lindt truffles, so they are treats, which we usually open while watching tv on a Saturday night.

I think we’ve been buying more treat foods than normal, mainly crisps and lollies. I’m 36 weeks pg and have really been wanting fruity ice lollies in the hot weather so we’ve always got a stash in the freezer at the moment! (Morrisons do pink lemonade ones which are amazing btw).
I have found though that I’m actually snacking less at home than I would do when I’m at work - I usually would have a cereal bar/biscuit mid-morning and then maybe some nuts in the afternoon, a combination of boredom and having to have a very early breakfast on work days I think.
