Cricked neck!!

Does anyone have any cricked neck remedies? My neck has been agony for 2 days since waking up yesterday, it hurts so bad I could cry 😭

Any solutions would be amazing. Painkillers don't help that much ☹️

You need to reduce inflammation, to regular ibuprofen rather than paracetamol. You can take both but it's the Ibuprofen that will help it subside, and the paracetamol for the pain.

You could put a cold pack on, or alternate hot packs and cold packs. The heat relaxes the muscles and stops the spasms, but the cold reduces the inflammation.

Try gentle neck stretches, but mainly try and relax it- lie on the floor with a rolled towel under the neck and do slow deep breaths.

It's awful, but it will ease!

Ibuprofen regularly will help.

Diazepam from the dr and naproxen. I put my back out a week ago and this is the only thing that helped!

Thank you, will try the rolled towel. Not sure the dr would give me Diazepam but will try and get some tomorrow if no better.

Your muscles are fighting to protect it, you need to let them soften and relax.
