4 year old sleeping issue

I have a 4 year old son who has been great at going to bed since a young age. However recently he has been sneaking into our bed while we are downstairs and falling asleep in our bed. We have asked him why he does it but he just says that he is bored sleeping in his room or bored sleeping by himself. to We have never had him sleeping with us only the odd occasion if he was poorly. I really dont know how to get him to stay in his bed and go to sleep there. We have tried fairly lights in his room incase it's the darkness. Tried evening walks to tire him out more but he still does it. It's not our room is very exciting!! If we have caught him going into our room we take him back to his own bed but I really dont know what to do. Any thoughts??

Has it only be since lockdown started? If so it could be a touch of anxiety around the change in lifestyle, no school, etc. and he's looking for the comfort we all get from curling up somewhere safe.

I'd just keep returning him to his own bed without comment or fuss and hope that he stops sooner or later.

Its started about a month into lockdown after we had a nights camping in the garden. I just worry that it will get to the point where he refuses to go into his bed to start with
