My DP has a family member who loves a good old conspiracy/alternative news. He works as a gardener for a large private home by himself and generally keeps off the grid from everyday social influence (no social media/doesn’t watch tv/read everyday newspapers/grows his own food as he’s been paranoid of ‘normal’ food sources due to GMO etc).
Last summer he was talking of biovirus being developed in China to spread around the world and stop the west. 99% of the time I think he’s chatting nonsense and leave the conversation. He’s cut all contact since a few weeks before lockdown as he’s completely gone off grid as he reckons a war is coming as a lot of our troops have been deployed abroad on purpose as we’re due to be invaded at any point. When he talks he almost sounds believable as he seems to have a lot of ‘facts’/‘statistics’.
I stumbled on some very Alt-right ‘news sources’ a few years ago and it made me curious of what else is out there.. has anyone got any ‘bizarre side of the internet’ news articles?
