Something just moved in my stomach..

I’ve name changed for this.

Something literally just rolled in my stomach, there was a popping sensation and now I swear I have a bump where I didn’t before. Nothing that strange until I mention that I’ve not had sex since November and I’ve had periods since then. But something is moving in my stomach, and not like trapped wind. I’ll get out for a test first thing, but I surely can’t be that many weeks pregnant and not have had a single symptom till now, surely? Please someone tell me I can’t.

I only MN on my phone but I don’t use the app. I use the mobile version on Safari and click the three dots to the bottom right of a comment.

How are you doing this morning, @Ohshitx?

I found out at 24 weeks with my DS. I was swimming in a bikini until about 30 weeks with virtually a flat stomach. Weirdly once I found out the bump went huge. And it was only because we'd decided to try for another that I found out then, it would have been even later I think. I stopped birth control when I was circa 12 weeks already, DTD I took a test a few weeks later and got a positive so naturally assumed the pregnancy was new. Went for my 12 week scan. Boom. 24 weeks. As an aside, you can get negative tests later on in pregnancies, but diluting the wee with a little water can reduce the hormones in the urine to a readable level for the home pregnancy tests so might be worth trying if you get a straight negative.

Jeez sorry my phone didn't load the rest of the thread and just saw updates. Blimey! Congratulations! What a turn of events. You will be fine. Could you see if you could get some counselling too? Might help in wrapping your head around it all given shock.

Hi,

I’m ok. Today it feels more real. I was browsing prams last night which just feels absolutely mental. The pain I’m feeling is round ligament pain I’m sure of it, it’s only when I move really and is pretty much exactly the same kind of pains as I had with DS (7 years ago!) but I will mention it to midwife as and when they call.

I’ll also need to mention that I’ve been taking Lansoprazole daily, which after a quick google last night isn’t recommended for pregnancy. So that caused a panic last night.

I haven’t told anyone. I think the conversation will go better if I can say “I’m XX weeks pregnant and due on XX date” depending on what the midwife says regarding scan etc, I can book a private scan for the next day so hopefully will have some more concrete answers soon.

Sounds like a sensible plan OP. Am quite excited for you Smile

BobbyTheVetIsMyHero · 27/05/2020 09:56

Good luck with the midwife today OP! Thinking of you!

Rebelwithallthecause · 27/05/2020 09:57

Good luck op
I’m sure midwife will give any reassurance

Are you excited about telling family?

FergusSingsTheBlues · 27/05/2020 10:04

You literally haven’t told anybody?
How are you managing that?!

Congrats btw

JustOneLastThing · 27/05/2020 10:24

Wow! Huge congrats to you op Thanks

CanIHaveAPenguinPlease · 27/05/2020 10:34

Try not to worry too much. You didn’t know & what’s done is done. I understand you not wanting to tell anyone yet until you get your own head around it. Flowers

Prettybubblesintheair · 27/05/2020 10:40

Good luck today op!

dimotikopp · 27/05/2020 10:49

Good luck! My kids love hearing the story about how we found out we were expecting them-this story is a cracker!

Taddda · 27/05/2020 10:58

That makes sense, especially if you've felt it before! It might just mean that baby's switched to head down, so everythings had a bit of a move around in there- I bet you'll feel so much better after your scan (totally understand not wanting to say anything to anyone until then, you'll get a load of questions you can't answer yet!)

I'm so glad you're managing to get your head around it allFlowers

AgathaX · 27/05/2020 11:29

Wow, what a shock. Congratulations. I hope you get to speak to your midwife very soon and get some answers and dates.

Blueuggboots · 27/05/2020 12:02

I know someone whose partner very unexpectedly died. She was grieving so didn't question her lack of periods and found out she was pregnant at 18 weeks.

gingerbreadslice · 27/05/2020 12:11

Wow Shock

iklboo · 27/05/2020 12:30

@FlamingoAndJohn - I'm on the app not the desktop site. It's not ready on the app yet apparently.

Duckyneedsaclean · 27/05/2020 12:33

@Ohshitx I was prescribed lansaprazole in pregnancy so don't worry too much. Good luck with the midwife!

WoollyMammouth · 27/05/2020 12:52

I had lansoprazole for pregnancy reflux from the GP.

Luckypoppy · 27/05/2020 13:01

You can probably book a private scan for today if you wish. There's places around everywhere. Our local one is open on a strict appointment basis.
