Bicycle part help - bottom bracket

I wonder if any one can help. I need to get a new bottom bracket for my sons mountain bike. The part is a FSA bottom bracket BB-7000. I cant seem to find this in stock anywhere, would a BB-6000 or BB-1000 be compatible. They all say they are 68 mm, but dont know if they fit differently.

So basically if anyone can explain the difference between 7000, 6000 and 1000 I would be very grateful :)

Bottom brackets usually require specialist tools to fit them - you might be best off asking your local independent bike shop (e.g. not halfords or evans!)or repair person to source and fit it for you

Thankyou Polka :) we are getting somebody else to fit it so hopefully they have the right tools! Theres just so many parts its a minefield
