I’ve got a week off work.
Really really been so looking forward to it and don’t want to waste it.

What do you have planned in this lockdown period?

We plan a couple of walks.

A trip to the garden Center to buy some plants as the plan to redo the front driveway fell apart thanks to pandemic so we need to do something for this year.

Our shed is in need of painting.

DD has a drama project to finish so we will work on that as she needs a photographer/camera person to help for parts of it.

Monday- meeting up with DS's best friend. Barbecue later.
Tuesday- whatever DS wants, so not getting dressed, playing lots of Minecraft she football.
Wednesday- MIL is taking DS out to explore by the river.
No other plans.

*and football

Was supposed to be in Cornwall for a week for my twin nephews’ baptism. Instead, we are at home and work is mad so I’m carrying the holiday forward.

Stompythedinosaur · 25/05/2020 00:45

Potter in the garden - dd1 and I are part way through making a duck pond with a sunk pipe that drains when you turn a tap. We have duck eggs in the incubator.

We have talked about walking up a nearby hill one day.

We recently bought some gravitrax and have been enjoying playing with that a lot.

CoRhona · 25/05/2020 00:57

Monday - bit of of gardening. Wash hair.
Tuesday - pick up DD birthday dessert. Go to tip. Wrap gifts with DH.
Wednesday - DD birthday

Haven't thought any further ahead. My world has really shrunk!

Blackdoggotmytonguestill · 25/05/2020 00:57

No time off. But mildly concerned that I’ll be laid off before the week is out, so that may change... 🙄
We’ve set up a family challenge to (virtually) get from Lands End to John O’Groats by any human powered means possible though... so I’m adding in a stint on an exercise bike to my schedule every day. 😂 That MIGHT stop me from comfort eating my way through. But given that I move from bed to desk to sofa to bed, my Fitbit is telling me that more effort is going to be needed...

PorpentiaScamander · 25/05/2020 01:01

The dc will be working
They've chosen not to work as hard as they should have done so instead of having a week off will be catching up .

TimeWastingButFun · 25/05/2020 01:12

Hoping for some good weather to make use of the pool that we just put up before the thunderstorms started (grr!) also building raised vegetable beds so I'm looking forward to that. And some bike rides. The kids are fully aware it's not term time so no tuition but we'll get a lie in at least :-)

Equimum · 25/05/2020 07:56

Monday - long family walk
Tuesday - science set experiments & decorating
Wednesday - baking & Gruffalo picnic (& decorating)
Thursday - garden games tournament (& decorating)
Friday - ?

Not working from home next week, so planning to do a bit of cleaning whenever possible and spend the rest of the time focussed around DD. Really looking forward to a week of not feeling like a rubbish mother and rubbish employee. No concrete plans.

FromTheAllotment · 25/05/2020 08:43

Buying fish for the new pond, which has been lovingly tended by DH over the last week to get it ready.
A walk on the common.
Teaching DD to ride a bike without stabilisers... v v v slow going but we are gradually improving.
BBQs.
Trying to clean the house a bit, because it’s moving towards the “before” version of something Kim and Aggie would tackle.

Kljnmw3459 · 25/05/2020 08:45

Wfh. Finally a chance to catch up with my work load without having to do home schooling at the same time.

drspouse · 25/05/2020 08:46

DS has SEN and his school is open as holiday care, DH is a KW and has a shed load of meetings, so today is PJs and tidy up day, we each have one day off and the other days the DCs are in childcare.
I might be brave and take the DCs to the beach on my day off (don't panic, it's local, I've got the choice of the one next to Aldi and the one next to the school we are hoping to look round for DS so maybe we can peep through the railings )

FiveGoMadInDorset · 25/05/2020 08:49

I am working all week

crosser62 · 25/05/2020 08:54

All sounds very civilised and niace.

I’ve ordered a carpet cleaner so hours of fun with that bugger when it gets here.
Also taken all my curtains down, washed them, cleaned windows.
It’s been lovely watching them billowing in the sun and wind on the line actually, small pleasures.
Going to go for a wander down at the beach.

Going to tackle the huge mountain of school work sent by school that has piled up over the weeks, try and get it all done with ds.

Also...much excitement..going to book a slot at the tip to take all the bags of clothes and books for recycling from my clear out weeks ago.

My gardens needs some TLC as completely neglected due to zero time or energy so I’m going to do some work there. I’m sure I saw a little strawberry plant sprouting the other day, need to nurture that!

Looking forward to getting shit done 😊

Nothing much, one of us is out at work full time all week and we are still doing lockdown. We'll be in the garden weather permitting.

Pleasenodont · 25/05/2020 09:23

Usually have tonnes of ideas, especially during bank holiday weekend but nothing for this week which is sad. It’s DD’s birthday next week so looking forward to that.

drspouse · 25/05/2020 09:43

DH said "let's go to the tip and the garden centre" (note: he's joking)

LookingForward6 · 25/05/2020 09:50

The kids and I are going on holiday today. Start at the breakfast bar (flight check-in), up the stairs to chairs on landing (aeroplane), camping in garden (luxury hotel Hmm), bike ride (exploring our holiday resort), bbq in garden (dinner on beach) and prosecco. Luckily our flight isn’t too early so still chilling with a cup of tea.
