How Old Do I Look ? (photo included)

No editing on photo, took in natural daylight. Bit blurry but hopefully can still see all the natural skin lines, etc

I’ve had plenty of lockdown thoughts about being grateful for my relatively ok health (asthma and very minor heart condition) and future travel ambitions so just wanted to know if I look as ‘lived-in’ as I feel.

I don’t wear any makeup/foundation/tinted moisturiser etc , just mascara.

I’m not sensitive about my age so be as brutal as you like Grin

Great bone structure, Do you ever wear your hair up?

Sixlifetimesinone · 24/05/2020 17:46

I’m usually pale all year round. Slight tan is from lockdown furlough these last few weeks. So yes I’ll definitely age badly if I keep going out in the sun with Scottish heritage skin tone!

I don’t know where all the comments about good bone structure are coming from ! - I have a severely wonky nose and one boss eye Grin.

My hair is dyed medium brown (it’s naturally jet black but that lightened over the decades). If I didn’t dye, I’d have a big off-centre mallen streak.

To answer the ‘I can’t believe you think you’re ugly if you’ve posted this’ comments. Put it this way, I didn’t hire a wedding photographer last year because I thought it would be a waste of money as they’d never get a nice picture of me. I don’t have social media face profile pictures and have thought since a child I’m ugly, and a DV relationship cemented that belief for eternity. I can post a photo here only because I know threads on Chat board vanish in 30 days Blush

I’m reassured to read comments that I look ‘friendly and happy’. I’m an optimistic person by nature, but shy and quiet, so often think I don’t look friendly at all as I struggle to make friends due to my shyness. That’s quite illuminating. But I don’t know how much you can tell about someone’s character by a photo. Although some people have that fantastic ability, I wish I did, it would have saved me from some not nice people in my life!

52?

BitOfFun · 24/05/2020 17:49

Without reading the comments, I'd say 52. You are very pretty-looking, btw.

Carrie7469 · 24/05/2020 17:50

@Sixlifetimesinone
Yes, I'm East Midlands too. I think you live very very close to me and we share the same bus route!

Xenia · 24/05/2020 17:51

50 or 55 are my guesses but it is very hard to tell. Looks very good and not fat which is unusual these days of course.

Chig · 24/05/2020 17:52

You look lovely,

I would say 54 ish

Sixlifetimesinone · 24/05/2020 17:52

@Carrie7469

Is poor grammar the preserve of the under 60's OhTheRoses? What an unnecessary comment Confused

calpolatdawn · 24/05/2020 17:54

Early 50s, id say

Thisismytimetoshine · 24/05/2020 17:55

And there's Xenia telling you you're in the minority not being fat!

Why would anyone lay themselves open to these comments by asking what age they look?!

Akonknew · 24/05/2020 17:56

45-52 somewhere around there

Nothing wrong with your looks. You look lovely

Sixlifetimesinone · 24/05/2020 17:58

@OhTheRoses it’s ok I’m not offended, good grammar is important to some people I know. I don’t edit or autocorrect my typewritten words. I took English at O and A level and must have scraped by Grin

50? X

Bleepbloopblarp · 24/05/2020 17:58

My sister is 50 and you look a good few years older than her so 54?

justanotherneighinparadise · 24/05/2020 17:59

I tend to put people into decades so I would say fifties.

Gwenhwyfar · 24/05/2020 18:01

My first thought was 50, then I saw no wrinkles on the forehead and only very slight 11s, so maybe much younger than 50 but with something that looks older, or 50 with Botox.

Sixlifetimesinone · 24/05/2020 18:01

I’ll be 52 this autumn coming.

I’m bowing out now thanks everyone for taking time to post I appreciate that, it’s actually been quite interesting and a bonus hearing so many nice comments, I wasn’t expecting them at all !

Have a lovely weekend everyone thanks again Flowers

Mid to let 50s

Bollockingfuck · 24/05/2020 18:03

I think 47-52. I’m 43 but look a lot older I think so guessing based on my friends ages.

You youthful to me - as in well-groomed, happy, active, attractive.

Can’t wait to hear the answer!

Bollockingfuck · 24/05/2020 18:05

Well lucky me - I had a zero minute wait to find out! Glad you enjoyed the process OP - you’re a braver woman than I!

RuffleCrow · 24/05/2020 18:06

Who cares?! You have a beautiful face and great hair. And you're healthy by the sounds of things. Forget age and just enjoy your life.
