@missingmum it’s gorgeous, makes the whole room, which helps as we rent and can’t do too much decoration wise. Also love the no iron look, not that I’d iron bedding anyway but helps that if doesn’t even look like it needs ironing!

PurpleFrames · 23/05/2020 23:37

Ikeas paisley prints are super smooth and suit my colour scheme perfectly

BaronessBomburst · 23/05/2020 23:43

I bought this recently. The pattern is toucans, dragonflies, and snakes, in cotton sateen. We love it!

linen bundle if the budget allows. Best bedding ever!

Itwasntme1 · 23/05/2020 23:46

Plain white

Boring I know, Marks and Spencer’s cool range. I like how it feels

NightScentedStocks · 23/05/2020 23:50

The white bedding at the Italian villa in Normal People was lovely. Wish i knew where it was from

granadagirl · 23/05/2020 23:50

I much prefer 400tc so soft, can be bit expensive. I think so
Usual buy L A

White cotton, made in India, best cottons I have ever had have been Indian.
I don't care where they are from in the UK, usually a department store, Selfridges, Harrods and once, Heals. I mean the high thread count, not the pretty painted patterns. They are smooth, wash well and last ages. The ones I have don't rustle. They have applique or embroidery so not completely plain. Plain white sheets, vintage cotton, or metis linen from France.

macdhui · 23/05/2020 23:51

I love Peter Reed, stunning quality

WhenItIsOver · 23/05/2020 23:52

I have seen Zebra ones on Ebay recently.

@museumofyou thank you for introducing me to the V&A range. I've been looking for a duvet set for a year now and the one you posted is perfect. Just the colours I wanted!

copperoliver · 24/05/2020 00:03

I always have white.
But I do like baby blue at the moment.
100% cotton. X

My pleasure! It washes really well too!

Kenworthington · 24/05/2020 08:16

I just ordered some terracotta linen bedding from Zara. I have to have 100% cotton or linen and the linen is so soft to sleep in.

wipeyourpawsplease · 24/05/2020 08:37

For the first time in my life I've just treated myself to 400 thread count Egyptian cotton from John Lewis, in my favourite print, William Morris' The Strawberry Thief. I got my teenager the same cotton quality but in a pale grey slightly satin finish.

pickingdaisies · 24/05/2020 08:51

@Buffalocauliflower I never knew I wanted olive bed linen until now. What have you done? Grin

BuffaloCauliflower · 24/05/2020 08:56

@pickingdaisies honestly it’s perfect. I love sleeping in white bedding but it’s a pain to keep clean and white and we have cats walking all over the bed. Olive green looks chic and stylish but is also practical, same for linen in general. DC1 is on the way and I think I need some bedding that will be quicker and easier to wash though, so I’m on the hunt for something cheap in the same colour...

Iwantacookie · 24/05/2020 09:00

Great thread op I've been looking for new sheets too. I am amazed how many of you have white. As soon as I have anything new in white I bleed all over it Hmm

RingaRosie · 24/05/2020 09:06

Know what you’re say, iwantacookie. I did the white thing, they were lovely, but no amount of washing could get my DH sweat out of them. He’s a hairy fella! Yellow marks were not the look I was going for...

copperoliver · 24/05/2020 09:06

John Lewis or marks and Spencer have some nice bedding. X

olivehater · 24/05/2020 09:07

Just purchased a white coverless duvet from night owl john Lewis. It has a textured finish and can go in the washing machine despite being king size. No more messing around with duvet covers and looks lovely and fresh in white. The texture makes it look like it has a duvet cover on it. It’s very warm. I actually think I would have been fine with the 4.5 tog but got the 10 tog. I’ve got the all the kids coverless duvet from their range too. Has been life changing!

RingaRosie · 24/05/2020 09:07

Organic cotton from H&M Home is quite nice, lightweight for summer.

Iwantacookie · 24/05/2020 09:13

@ringarosie yes that's another issue we had. I try to aim for dark bedding then have some light coloured accessories.
I've also come to the conclusion we need a super king sized duvet. Havent broke the news to dp I'm looking at spending more on bed sheets than the actual bed yet Grin

Lardlizard · 24/05/2020 09:13

Olive hater, oh that’s clever
