In defamation (slander/libel) of an individual? I’m not famous or special but urgently need to find someone that works in this area and being completely clueless about this stuff have no idea where to start!

The law society find a solicitor page will allow you to search by specialism.

To find a good one, look at the Chambers and Legal 500 guides both of which list by area.

The Law Society's website has a find a solicitor feature where you can put in your location and choose the specialism.

As in geographical area within areas of legal specialism

HappyHammy · 23/05/2020 19:21

Look up local solicitors and it will show what they specialise in. Where in the country are you. Will you be paying privately. Would you travel to see a specialist. Is it a serious situation that is likely to end up in Court.

Be warned, pursuing legal action in these areas is usually expensive and doomed to failure...

I'm another saying that you will need very deep pockets if you wish to pursue this.

A good specialist lawyer is extremely expensive. Is it worth legal action or could you find another way around it?
