Hi

The lockdown has given me the baking bug.

Can anyone recommend any good stand mixers that are good for baking please.

No idea what is good and value for money.

I love my Thermomix as it does lots more than just mix so get more bang for buck. Had it now for 14 years and still going strong..

Kenwood aren't as pretty as Kitchen Aid but I think generally regarded as being better.

They do a budget model for about £200 with a food processor etc. It's been pretty good for us. I am thinking about upgrading now but I have had very good value out of the budget one. I think I have used it at least four or five times a week for 7 years.

I have had mine eight years and love it . Used lots of others as work in different peoples homes.,
Kitchen aid wins for me as it is so simple to set up and use.

Got a Kitchen aid when I left a job as a leaving gift.
It is very pretty
But I found it fiddly and noisy I had to buy extra attachments which I think were pricey.
I bought a £20 stand mixer (reduced from £70 I think)in my local Tesco one lunchtime.
I use it every week have done for the last five years and I prefer it.
The Kitchen aid looks fab sitting on my work top though.
PS My mum still using her Kenwood chef purchased in 1963.

My Kenwood chef is from the early 1980s., The old ones just keep going!!! You can still get them on ebay.
