How’s Your Weekend Going?

Quite a good day today as DD11 has had something to focus on ( we entered an online pet competition to raise funds for the local childrens’ hospice). It was lovely spending quality time with her, setting up the photos & choosing the best ones to use. DD even bought a little hat with sunglasses as a bunny prop, although the bunnies weren’t exactly co - operative ! We took some of the shots in her summerhouse which is being done up as a den. All it really needs now is bunting & DD has drawn each of the rabbits so she’ll put up those pictures too. We also need to put the lights up. I have rug envy as we bought a really nice, soft one the other day in geometric yellow from B & M. Only a tenner.
I’ve popped out to try to get some bits that weren’t available at Aldi yesterday but still need some stuff. I always find it frustrating that you can’t get everything you need from one supermarket. Still, I did go to Tesco Express so I should expect there to be a limited range. We’re trying to cook from scratch often & it’s been great, especially as DH isn’t working so can contribute much more. He’s doing a slow cooker chicken dish tomorrow & has done Hairy Biker pies, sausage pasta & the most delicious bread. I still need Italian risotto rice & fresh thyme for a Co - Op recipe I’m trying on Tuesday. Looking forward to a chippy tea ( becoming our new Saturday night tradition). We always watch BGT, although not finding it particularly good this season. DH & I have recently upgraded our broadband/tv package so may find a film to watch later.
It’s been very windy today but if it’s dropped a bit tomorrow, we might go for a short bike ride. If it ends up being beach weather then we’ll risk it but come straight home if people aren’t social distancing

Windy and rainy. Roof is leaking again. Made flapjacks. Did a zoom quiz. Dinner in the slow cooker.

First weekend off in 6 weeks but I bashed my head on the greenhouse door, shopping trolley has left a scratch on my car and just I’ve started my period. Enough already so I’ve dived under the duvet and told DH that I need a cup of tea, a cheese toasty a hot water bottle and a glass of water for my co codamol. The world and his dog can fuck off too coz I’m not moving from here.

Good, found 4 pens and 30p down the side of the sofa, result!

Pretty lazy. Daughter went for solo walk then hung outside with her rabbits. She's had pretty intense school this week (y10) so really ready for half term.
My son went on a bike ride, walked dogs and now has gone off on another bike ride with a friend.
I'm just trying to motivate myself to make a curry. So windy my outdoor umbrella broke yesterday as I stupidly left it up.
