Can you resign via email?

Is it acceptable. I was wondering. It's years since I resigned from a job formally and everything had to be done by letter back then. Everyone in our organisation is working from home now, including the managers. Our part of the organisation doesn't have HR, I can't find anything in the company handbook and I don't trust any of the managers enough to ask them (haven't fully made up my mind just yet). Does anyone know? How did you resign from your job? - I work for the NHS, by the way.

I'm sure you can. Email is the usual form of communication for most things these days.

@Ghostlyglow yes, I sent my notice by email, and that was accepted.

Yes! I have given via email 3 times, always been accepted. And especially now it will be super acceptable Smile
