A spoonful in coffee is delish, especially iced latte.

If you have any tinned fruit, my Nan always drizzled it on that.

Make tablet obviously.

drspouse · 22/05/2020 20:29

Sell it for about £3. It's really hard to get hold of, no idea why.

popcorndiva · 22/05/2020 20:30

Make flapjack mmm

moonlight1705 · 22/05/2020 20:30

Mix it in with melted chocolate and melted butter and then add dried apricots, glacé cherries and crushed digestives.

Put in the fridge to cool and harden and you now have chocolate fridge cake. Smile

WeeMadArthur · 22/05/2020 20:31

Spoon, or a sandwich with buttered white bread, or tablet if you have spare sugar, butter, milk and vanilla extract.

justanotherneighinparadise · 22/05/2020 20:35

I use it in curry.

Eckhart · 22/05/2020 20:35

Was it any good, what he made? Make it again?

Seriously is this what people do? Use half of something then just chuck the other half away?

Aurorie11 · 22/05/2020 20:36

Boil in the can and use in bannoffee pie

Laurendelight · 22/05/2020 20:38

Make a small batch of @SoupDragon's flapjacks, which are absolutely wonderful.

Condensed milk - milk which has been boiled for a while to evaporate the watery part of the milk, with a fair amount of sugar added

Evaporated milk - as above, but with no sugar added. Tastes sweet because the natural sugar in the milk is now a larger proportion of the milk.

Make dulce de leche, super sweet sticky caramel. Drizzle it on ice cream, cheesecake or fruit. My favourite is to dip cold granny smith apple slices in warm dulce de leche.

Man I'm starving now!

JonnyPocketRocket · 22/05/2020 20:42

We put it in tea, or eat it with a spoon!

Thanks for all the fab responses.
I’ve never bought condensed milk before and it’s just a weird gloopy texture.
I wouldn’t normally throw stuff away like that but I honestly didn’t know what to do with less than a third of a tin. That’s why I thought I’d ask first.

Ds made a fluffy steamed cake that he saw on YouTube. It’s very .......interesting.

Flapjack seems like a good simple idea so I’ll go with that. Fudge sounds amazing but I’m not sure I’ve got enough for that. Plus diet.

Mix it with dessicated coconut, shape into pyramids and cook at 180 for about 10 mins, they are something I made with my gran when I was little

Eckhart · 22/05/2020 22:04

Think you touched a nerve with me there, what with all the queuing at shops and people not being able to get food deliveries. Sorry.

Steamed cake... hmm...

IloveParmaViolets · 22/05/2020 22:05

My mum used to make a set panna cotta type dessert which was lovely. I'll ask her for the recipe as it's been ages since I've had it.
