Book ideas for DC(almost 6)

My DS is almost 6, and we’ve hit a bit of a book rut. He’s a fluent reader and can read independently, but tends to prefer me reading to him/listening to him. We’ve done all the Roald Dahl box set (us reading them to him at bedtime) some Naughty Amelia Jane, all the Julia Donaldson ones - a friend recommended Mr Majeika which look good but seem to be out of stock everywhere. I’ve ordered a Dick King-Smith one which is coming today.

Any other ideas?

The Flat Stanley series?

Captain Underpants
Professor Branestawm
Faraway Tree
Younger children’s Diana Wynne Jones (Freaky Families is one)

Thanks so much! I’ll check those out

The Olga da Polga books by Michael Bond are fab. They are about a guinea pig who is very full of her own importance and who has adventures.

Also the Paddington books by Michael Bond.

Claude.
My Naughty Little Sister.
Atticus the Storyteller (Greek myths).
Winnie the Pooh.
The Famous Five/Secret Seven- terribly repetitive once you've read a few but DS loves them.
Mr Gum

Oh! and The Sheep-Pig, or just about anything by Dick King-Smith

I’ve ordered a few different ones for him now after reading those, so thank you for all the ideas!
