What can I do with VHS tapes?

Been clearing out some boxes that have been in the loft for ages and I've found maybe 15 VHS tapes (of movies/TV shows) and I've no idea what to do with them. I could bag them up and take them to the tip but it seems so wasteful.

I don't think my local charity shops would take them when the reopen.

Thank you.

Nothing
Charity shops won't take them as they can't sell them.
Chuck them in the bin - you have my permission!

We had a combo vhs and DVD player for ages as the tapes lasted much better. But as the kids aged we didn't need all those Disney films, plus with tv on demand and Netflix etc no need. Ditch them.

Some charity shops don't even take dvds never mind videos.

Yeah it's bin or recycling if you are lucky enough to have a recycling centre that does that.
However if you have small children and want to keep them quiet for a while get them to pull all the tape out. Some old music cassettes gave my girl absolutely ages of concentration and quietness when she was about 18 months old Grin

eBay, some people still buy/collect them

QuestionableMouse · 21/05/2020 17:09

I've checked ebay but there's loads on there and from what I can tell they just don't sell. (1 sold out of 200 results for the sci fi ones for example)

Off to the tip with them then. 😩😕☹️
