Recommendations for non-sticky sunscreen?

DD and I absolutely hate sunscreen and every summer I'm on a mission to find a nice non-sticky one. Nothing we have used so far has quite cut it yet.
Any recommendations?

I like the Piz Bunin brand and find it non sticky.

chocolatesaltyballs22 · 21/05/2020 15:58

Lots of the clear spray ones are non sticky. I usually use a Soltan one. Spray, bit of a rub and you're good to go.

  • Buin , sorry.

Banana Boat do a powder-dri version which isn't sticky.

Australian Gold. Expensive and difficult to get, but it’s amazing. Smells great and no need to wash hand after using it.

Calypso once a day is a gel which goes on really easily, works well and is cheap.

notcycling · 21/05/2020 20:51

Thank you. I'll check them out

My daughter has sensory issues and we have used a water like spray one and also an aerosol - she's happy with both of those.

Sparklingbrook · 21/05/2020 21:05

Another vote here for Piz Buin, non greasy and smells nice.

EwwSprouts · 21/05/2020 21:08

Nivea sun spray is lovely and light but effective.

MrsMcnulty20 · 21/05/2020 21:24

Ambre solaire dry mist spray is amazing. Sinks right in, no greasiness. It's often on offer too.

Voice0fReason · 21/05/2020 22:42

Altruist - clear spray or the cream - both excellent

amiw · 21/05/2020 22:50

Altruist seconded

AuditAngel · 21/05/2020 22:52

I came on to say Banana Boat powder-dri too

needsleepz · 21/05/2020 22:56

Altruist, although I only like the cream - the spray is awful!

Biore Watery Essence

NooneElseIsSingingMySong · 21/05/2020 23:38

DD has a lot of sensory issues and I got P20 last year and she has asked me to get that again!

FrenchFancie · 22/05/2020 04:09

The best non sticky one I’ve found still with 5* uva protection is boots soltan ‘quick dry protect’. Not always in stock, but worth grabbing.
Many of the watery ones only have 3* protection, which might be ok for daily users the uk but not the best. I have had skin cancer though, and live in Cyprus where the sun is fierce.

Honeybee85 · 22/05/2020 06:14

Any Biore one, Watery Essence is really nice and lightweight. Anessa is nice too.

I also love La Roche Posay Anthelios matte sunscreen.

mynameisntlouise · 22/05/2020 07:14

I like the Soltan sand play one. It might only be in the kids range. It's not entirely non-sticky but the best I've found, and quite reasonable if you get it on offer.

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 22/05/2020 08:08

Another vote for calypso once a day, we all use it, put it on at morning wash and that’s it for the day. It’s clear too and doesn’t leave yellow stains on clothes.

Ballet1992 · 22/05/2020 08:21

Where can you buy the Biore?

sugarfreehopefully · 22/05/2020 08:53

I'm a P20 fan too. Great stuff that doesn't require constant reapplying either.

midnightstar66 · 22/05/2020 08:58

Living abroad when dc were younger we've tried them all but gone back to Nivea each time. The spray is especially good but it has a lower star rating , the cream is nice and non sticky too though
