Look for soupdragons flapjack recipe with condensed milk. It's amazing

Or toast them in the oven & make granola. I tend to toast the oats & then add some crushed nuts & seeds & mix with some warmed honey, but butter & vanilla. Have it sprinkled on yogurt & fruit in the mornings. Yum.

If you haven't any of the other stuff you could just toast the oats & sprinkle

Oats last forever, not like they are going out of date. Overnight oats are delicious for breakfast.

I use them in a topping for veggie crumble.
A handful of oats can also be added to most stews and soups that a e cooked down, they are a good bulking agent and not really identifiable as oats once cooked.

Thank u for the suggestions. Anyone tried making cakes with oats?

No but I absolutely love oatcakes-especially seeded ones so that going to be my next attempted homemade thing!

Cookies www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/orange-oat-sultana-cookies

Muffins recipes.sainsburys.co.uk/recipes/baking/oaty-banana-mini-muffins (I don’t make these ‘mini’, I just do them normal size and bake for a bit longer). Here’s a blueberry recipe if you don’t like bananas www.asdagoodliving.co.uk/food/recipes/blueberry-oat-muffins

onlinelinda · 21/05/2020 16:13

You can add them to a fruit crumble mix.

Blueberry muffins look nice, might try them with raisins.

Anzac biscuits
Banana oat cake
Chocolate oat cake
Muesli cake

I've also used a food processor to chop oats finer when adding to biscuits and cakes if you don't want the whole oaty feel in it.
