I live in a HA house. One row of houses is on one street and one row is on the neighbouring street. There is a car park in between the two rows of houses and all gardens back on to the car park.
During lockdown one house has been having outdoor "gatherings" with loud music on week nights as well as weekends. They have also taken to putting plastic chairs in the car park area so that they can sit and chat until the small hours.
Last night it was absolutely fucking boiling in my bedroom and I couldn't have my windows open due to the music, singing, shouting etc from the house opposite. I am at work today and I am knackered.
I like 90s house music as much as the next person but I am sick of their racket until all hours, particularly when I have work the next day.
I don't want to report them to the HA (although it would not surprise me if someone else has, because it can't just be me that can hear them) but I would like them to shut the fuck up occasionally.
I could ask them to keep it down a bit but at the same time I don't want to cause problems with my neighbours, as I am hoping to be able to stay in this house after private renting for years.
Does anyone have a diplomatic way of handing this? I am a very grumpy person so diplomacy does not come naturally unfortunately.
