Coronavirus confused help

Hi I'm just wondering if anyone has had anything similar happen to them or heard of or knows anything about it. A few weeks ago my grandad was taken to hospital with sepsis and suspected covid-19, his test came back negative and he was put on antibiotics. Around 2-3 weeks later my gran (they live together) was taken to hospital with suspected covid-19 her test came back positive and passed away a few days later.

What is confusing to us is how she got it as neither of them left the house and no one went into their house (my mum is a nurse and has negative results she took them food) my grandad was negative and has not shown any symptoms since.

They will not retest my grandad because he has no symptoms. They reckon he brought it in on his clothes from the hospital and that's how my gran got it maybe but would the antibiotics help with the symptoms of covid-19? He has potentially had sepsis twice and cancer 3 times he has breathing problems from the sepsis.

Thank you to anyone in advance just curious to if antibiotics have helped anyone else in a similar situation

His test could have been a false negative. Sorry to hear about your gran Flowers

Sorry about your nan.

It could have been a false negative. Or at the point if testing he was no longer showing as positive.

Or it could have come in another way, as suggested
