My 11month old is waking at 5am on the dot and I am knackered. Is 5am normal, other mums I know day their ones at the same age wake up between 6.30-7.30am. Not sure what I can do to make her sleep in longer

Nothing sadly in my experience.
My ds went through a stage of doing it for months... (sorry!)
We tried everything, later bedtime, darker curtains, no nap, more nap, porridge at bed (did work for a friend) etc etc.
He stopped eventually...
On a weekend we took it in turns to get up with him and play or usually doze on the sofa with the tv on.

He is still an early riser always awake around 6.15 ish but is nearly 6 and has been trained to lay and play quietly in his bed til 7 when he is allowed his tablet.
He never needed as much sleep as any book said he was supposed to have!

Dd on the other hand has always slept til at least 7 and regularly has a lie in especially if she has a later night.

If you gently wake her around 10 mins before then she should sleep through that wake up and onto the next sleep cycle.

Oh just thought. We got a gro-clock when he was just about 2 and started getting him to stay in bed until the sun came up.
That worked to keep him in his room but never really made him sleep longer...

Normal in my experience. And a lot easier to accept than try to fix it at this age!

Same problem here (dd is 1 on Monday but being early waking since around 10 months old). And I had the same with my second child. We never found a solution. We tried longer naps, shorter naps, ignoring him, making sure he was well fed the night before, later bedtime, etc etc. Nothing worked. He just grew out of it (around 20 months I think) although he's still an early rider, up by 6 regardless of what time he goes to bed.
Haven't yet found a solution for dd either!

I have no advice.. my DS used to sleep 7-7 with one feed in between. He is 15 months now and sleeps 7-4.50am with one feed in between! Its draining!
