Can you delete Siri completely?

My kids are driving me nuts with it. I don’t want Siri on and have it turned off, but all they have to do is hold down the iPad button and up he pops again! I keep changing the settings to have it turned off but they manage to turn him back on so easily.
Can I delete it completely??

I think you’re on a loser there. The programming seems to have siri inbuilt I’m afraid. Nothing like having a computer that can listen to you, eh? Mary Shelley was so right.

I hate it. It’s bad enough having a smart phone but is hard to avoid having one. I don’t want Siri on top of it.

Have you turned off "press home for Siri" And everything else?

Or is that what they are turning back on?

Don't let them have the iPad unless they stop doing it 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes I’ve turned that off but they hold down the button and it comes back on. I wouldn’t usually let them have it in that case but they are using it for school work. My eldest has learnt to just ask Siri about all of his maths work Angry
I think I am definitely fighting a losing battle with Siri!

Your battle is with your children TBH!

Don’t I know it.

If only it were possible to turn them off sometimes via Settings 😂

You can turn Siri off! I've got it turned off. There's so many different toggles for different features in settings - just google it for your iPad model/iOS!

I've got it turned off

The problem seems to be that pressing the home button offers you the quick and easy option to turn it back on again.
