I’ve been raped in the past( my sons dad and boyfriend at the time) and no relationships for almost 9 years . I’m starting to feel I may prefer women. But am embarrassed for some reason ....

I’m sorry to hear that you’re been raped. Have you had any counselling or therapy about this ?

It’s normal to feel mixed up and confused about your own sexual feelings after you have been abused.

You don’t have to do or decide anything about your own sexuality while you are feeling like this. It’s fine to have feelings for men or women or both or neither. All these things are ok.

Can I ask if you have had any counselling to help you with the emotional impact of being raped?

There's no need to be embarrassed about being attracted to women.
