Seventh week of bleeding and getting worried

I've posted about this a few weeks ago but now not sure what to do and feeling really scared.
I'm on the contraceptive implant and this is my second year of having it in. I didn't have a period at all for almost a year but I've currently been bleeding for seven(!) weeks. Not just a bit either. It randomly started on the day my older DD got hers which makes me think it's a period rather than something more sinister but what if it is?
The GP won't do anything at the moment because of Coronavirus/ only doing appointments over the phone and I don't want to go anywhere near a hospital. I'm mainly concerned it could be cancer and that I won't get diagnosed until its too late but my 5yoDD is vulnerable so I'm terrified I could pick something up if I can even get in for tests.
I know it's almost certainly just a hormonal blip or down to my recent weight loss but it just won't stop and not sure how long I can let it go on for.
And advice on what I should do? Feeling a bit upset and scared tonight Sad.

Your GP should be doing appointments whereby you go to see them face to face if it cannot be resolved over the phone. Have you rung them and told them what you have posted here? If you do want to avoid a hospital (understandable), pursue your GP again. The NHS is concerned people are now not coming forward soon enough over health concerns and your GP should be aware of this, 7 weeks is a long time to be worrying and feeling scared.
