I was wondering if any one might be able to help me please and have any good ideas for how we might celebrate my Dad's upcoming 70th birthday with us all in lockdown? The plans we had made for a family get together have needed to be cancelled and I won't be able to see my Dad but would like to do something really special for him. I'm wracking my brains but can't come up with anything! Please help!

I read about a lady in a similar situation who couldnt have a party so had a 'come and see me' day.
Her family arranged with all of those who might have gone to the party to still come and bring a card and a present but to space out their visits . So all throughout the day she had people come and knock her door, leave the card and presents on the step, stand back and wish her a happy birthday . A quick chat and off they went eaving space for the next visitors.
I recall she was very happy with this arrangement.

My mum had her 80th in lockdown. I got my family to find photos of her throughout her life. We put these into a PowerPoint presentation and shared them over a family zoom call. As each photo came up, the person whose photo it was told a memory / story about Mum. All the generations enjoyed the photos because they were generally featured lots of family so everyone was included. Even the little kids focused because they saw pictures if themselves with granny.
