Why are people letting their kids sell things on the streets??

Anyone else seeing this in their area?
Yesterday there was a kid selling his toys on the front garden and today its a sweet shop (different kids). This is on top of the numerous boxes of crap people are putting out for people to help themselves too.
I know we don't have the resources to donate stuff or tip it at the moment but this seems like an excellent way of transmitting the virus and the boxes on the drives are causing people to gather making it hard to distance when out walking.
Anyone elses neighbours like this?

Ahmm.. thats not a thing in my area.

What region are you in?

I have seen quite a few things out for free (not selling) but I don’t see it as a problem, no one has to take anything. It certainly hasn’t drawn crowds of people or anything

Yeah same, lots of boxes of free crap in our village mainly books and toys. I think risk of transmission is low for anyone who wants to take that risk.

Selling sweets a bit weird though, I don't think actual stalls are a good idea at all
