Please help me rescue the flapjacks

They’re practically super glued to the tin!
So, dd decided to make flapjacks yesterday. She did grease the tin but I think she was a bit lacklustre with her mixing and the golden syrup sort of pooled at the bottom of the tin. When they came out the oven she decided to top them with chocolate, melted a large bar of galaxy and poured it over while the flapjacks were still a little warm.

I’ve tried standing the tin in a shallow basin of boiling water to try to loosen the flapjack. No luck. I’ve managed to chip a few bits off and it tastes divine.
Any ideas? I know it’s diabetes in a tin but it’s so tasty I really want to get it out!

Put it back in the oven for a bit and then tip it out of the tin whilst still hot?

QuestionableMouse · 17/05/2020 14:44

That's what I'd do too. Whack a load of foil on top to stop the chocolate burning.

Right, will give that a go

How did it go?

topcat2014 · 17/05/2020 16:45

I would just eat it all direct from the tin!

BettyCarver · 17/05/2020 18:15

It worked! I warmed it through again with foil over to stop it burning and then I sort of scooped it out in small portions that taste about a million calories each. topcat I’d have happily eaten from the tin but would have needed a hammer and chisel Grin
