Is it detrimental to your credit score to buy a lot of furniture with "interest free monthly payments"?

Say if you recently bought your first home and that means you barely have any money left due to high deposit etc. but also no pre-acquired furniture, is it sensible to buy all the essentials as pay for the item in monthly installments for e.g. 12 or 24 months (interest-free). Is that do-able for multiple furnitures or much better avoided?

I wouldn't say it was "detrimental" if you can manage to make the payments. What I would say is that all credit is taken in to account for further credit so if you came (for example) to remortgaging or getting new car all of your existing credit will be taken in to account

Thanks @snowone - will this credit be taken into account when remortgaging/buying a new car if I were to have paid them off by that time or they'll even review historical records.
