Best thing to do is make a list of all the money you will have coming in each month for yourself and dc including the various benefits and any money ex might contribute. Then a list of your outgoings. Speak to your landlord or housing officer about getting divorced. If you agree to 95% of childcare then it might make more sense for you to stay if you can and ex find somewhere else. Is he earning a wage so can rent. Will the dc be visiting him and would have enough space. If you are worried about him going out is he being sensible with social distanting. Is there room where you are now to self isolate.

Maintenance can be done through CMS or privetely if he is trustworthy. ?

Divorce can be done yourselves if you go on line and follow steps. Child arrangements are agreed on the same set of forms . Only worth employing solicitor if there are assets/money to worry about. As they cost £££.

Court divorce fee can be split in half. I did this 12 years ago. It has worked really well.
