Help me find this book/author

I read a really good book a few years ago and I want to see if the author has any others I could read. I can’t remember the name and only have a sketchy memory of what’s its about so am hoping someone in here can help.
The book is about a single mum with 3 kids (I think) Her teenage daughter has to take some kind of entrance exam for school/college but they gave to drive a long way to get to it. I think their car breaks down and they end up with this guy who reluctantly ends up taking them the rest of the way and it’s all about him getting to know the family and then falling in love with the mum.
Anyone recognise it please??

I’ve read the ‘Me Before You’ books but had forgotten it was the same author. It was driving me mad thinking about it!

That book drove me mad. The entrance exam was at Aberdeen uni and it was clear the author had never been there because the way she described them running to and from shops etc simply couldn’t happen.

She's written lots of books so there should be plenty for you to pick from.
