What trivial thing has made you hide a thread?

I've seen it on numerous threads where the phrasing is perfectly clear though. I wonder when it became a thing?

TomNook · 17/05/2020 12:36

Lol. I’m tempted to start one

I never heard of "Talk me down" before Mumsnet. But any thread where the OP refers to her husband as 'hubs' 'hubster' etc I cannot take seriously. Also excessive use of abbreviations like DFish, DCousin or DAunt.

Irnbroothenoo · 17/05/2020 14:29

The word Horrid. I despise it. It sounds like the person is stuck up

TomNook · 17/05/2020 14:33

Increasingly I just type “husband “. Not so hard

Can you not just, you know, have a little inward shudder and hide a thread, without starting a thread to castigate people who use those phrases? We all know how these threads go, but to not be a dick about all the inferiorati would spoil your fun, wouldn't it...?
