Right now I should be...?

I should be in a theatre in London with DD1 and my DM about to watch Les Mis. Where should you have been right now?

Away on holiday with DS, DH and PIL. It was Ireland and the weather has been rubbish this week but still...

Apolloanddaphne · 16/05/2020 19:37

Ireland would have been nice. My poor DM has been thwarted in her bid to go visit DD1 in London. We are meant to go last summer but my DF was unwell and died in August. We rescheduled for now and CV happened. Hopefully third time lucky and we will get there next year.

Sat at my laptop writing an essay due in tomorrow, instead I'm sat in front of the TV watching Eurovision. (Sorry not quite in the spirit of the thread)

Crunchymum · 16/05/2020 19:38

Packing for our first family holiday (Turkey!)

We wouldn't have been going until Wednesday but we'd have been at school / work Monday and Tuesday.

Livpool · 16/05/2020 19:38

It is where MIL is from and I think she was looking forward to showing me and DS about her younger days.

Oh no - hopefully you can rearrange again.

We've rebooked for later in the year so fingers crossed

Apolloanddaphne · 16/05/2020 19:40

Been there @Bubblysqueak. I just completed my uni year on Monday. It was a hard slog getting everything done. I had no motivation.

antipodalpizza · 16/05/2020 19:40

Relaxing in the garden with a good book, some caramel vodka and some chocolate. Seeya.

Lostvoiced · 16/05/2020 19:43

I'm on mat leave so I'm exactly where I would be. Though I would be often going around my MIL's so she could see the baby.
I was also supposed to have another visit from my mother last month but I guess I'm lucky she was able to come down in January when the baby was born.

ErrolTheDragon · 16/05/2020 19:43

We should have been in Sicily. A tour of historical and archaeological sites plus a couple of extra days either end.

We cancelled it in early feb, realising airports would likely be a bad idea but at that point we were still thinking we might be able to go somewhere in the U.K.

This was our second attempt at Sicily, we had to cancel the trip we'd booked 2 years ago because DH had a heart problem.

Fingers crossed for 3rd time lucky in 2022 I guess!

Apolloanddaphne · 16/05/2020 19:44

@antipodalpizza is that what you were meant to be doing or are actually doing? Either way it sounds lovely!

Should have been on a trip of a lifetime to the Baltic states.

Sparklingbrook · 16/05/2020 21:47

Visiting my 3 month old nephew who I have seen once in RL. By the time I get to give him a cuddle he won't want one.

whatthehelldowecare · 16/05/2020 21:50

Should have been having my Eurovision themed home hen do 😭 Wedding and hen festivities now postponed until next year

LBOCS2 · 16/05/2020 21:52

At a friend's 40th birthday party. He's postponed and instead I'm on my sofa, listening to the DC watching YouTube in various corners of the house.

iklboo · 16/05/2020 21:52

At a Eurovision party with friends.

Sparklingplasters · 16/05/2020 21:53

Shagging Calvin Harris

Dowser · 16/05/2020 21:57

Caravan,
We did drive to about 15 miles away from it, so it did feel like we were almost going
Sorry for those of you losing out on lovely hols
Three of my friends turn 60 this year
All their hols and celebrations Cancelled

Igmum · 16/05/2020 22:09

We were due to see Les Mis today too, but in Manchester. Had tickets for Phantom last week.

HoldMyLobster · 16/05/2020 22:36

Should have been getting ready to go out and see Chicago.

Instead we're all sitting round the house waiting to see who will crack first and offer to make dinner.

BuzzingtheBee · 16/05/2020 22:41

Nothing much different to what Im doing now! Waiting for hubby and Dcs to come to bed so I can go to sleep... otherwise they may well wake me.

Noidea2114 · 16/05/2020 22:48

London tomorrow for my 60th birthday.

Peckhampalace · 16/05/2020 22:56

I am involved with a local charity. Today would have been our open day (and main money raising event) and by now I would have been fast asleep having had a glass of wine or two and a takeaway. I missed it.

Kalim8 · 16/05/2020 22:56

Happy birthday for tomorrow, @Noidea2114!

I should be preparing for a festival and meeting family and old friends, where I would laugh until I cry instead of being my usual anti social self.
