Anyone work at Aldi?

We have a new Aldi opening near us soon and I am considering applying for a job, I worked in retail years ago when I was younger and always enjoyed it and feel like a change from my current (very different) job.

Has anyone got any recent experience of working at Aldi they would like to share to help me decide whether to apply?

I worked at aldi for about 6 months a year ago, I enjoyed the work, however I asked for part time morning only shifts (to finish by 2:30) this was agreed and then I was put on full time evening and night shifts and it was so hard as it didn't fit with our needs, they couldn't / wouldn't sort it so I moved on.
