From the BBC 'The British Medical Association said with so much "conflicting" evidence on opening schools, it was "completely aligned" with teachers' union calls to delay reopening.' Good to be heard.

Hopefully all those posters saying that teachers were being whingers who just 'don't want to go back to work' will change their tune.

Good. Not holding my breath for the government to listen though. I feel for the teachers who are going to be forced back to school, at least I can choose to keep my children at home.

...and those posters (not the quoted PP) who were intentionally missing the point that they have been at work all along delivering teaching from home @saraclara

The BMA in this case refers to the union, this is one union supporting another. I don't have a very strong opinion one way or another but this isn't really about the science or medical opinion, it's more about union politics.

This.
The BMA are utterly useless. They can't even protect their own members.

End of - are you a BMA member? What do you think they should have done differently?

I don't think the BMA has ever hidden that it's a trade union!

The BMA are an utterly shit union. I am a member, as a doctor, but they regularly fail to represent us properly and have rolled over on a decimation of terms and conditions over the last 10 years.
