Multi tool problem

I have this cute little multitool from clas Olson I have used it occasionally, but have never worked out how to open the pliers. It looks like you should be able to just squeeze, but there's no movement.
Any bright ideas?

Pull the handles apart to open, close them to close?

homemadecommunistrussia · 15/05/2020 18:20

The handles just fold back over the jaws of the tool.

So you don’t just squeeze the handles together like scissors when the doodah is open then? Weird.

I know, it drives me around the bendGrin

Can you take a pic of the other side when it's open?

I wish we could post videos because I have something similar. The handles just open to open the pliers and then close again to achieve the position in your photo.

Pics of mine... handles open jaws open, handles closed jaws closed, handles folded over jaws.

I have looked at vids for a leatherman and mine doesn't work the same way sadly. Maybe it's faulty?

I forced the jaws apart with a screwdriver and you know I think it might be moving! It's just super stiff what an eejit!Grin

From a vid I just watched, when you're separating the handles, support them up near the jaws.
