Radio silence since job interview test 😖

Has anyone else been in a similar situation, where they've been through a lengthy application process and then heard absolutely nothing by way of feedback? 😔

I applied for my dream job a couple of months back and completed a 3-hour, two-part test for the company over a fortnight ago. I've heard nothing since then, although interviews were supposed to be this coming week. I've emailed (to the general application address I'd previously contacted and this week to the named person in charge of recruitment) and had no response yet.

Should I assume I've been unsuccessful? Or might everyone have been furloughed so there's nobody to reply and interviews have been postponed?

Feeling quite down about this one, as it's a dream organisation to work for in my sector, it'd mean DP and I could start thinking about moving in together (I wouldn't be approved for a mortgage on my current meagre earnings), and I've worked really hard throughout the application process. I realise that people are in worse situations at the moment, so I probably need to get a grip, but has anyone else had this happen recently and had a positive outcome...?

Any advice would be very gratefully received!

Is the company open at the minute?

Thanks for your speedy reply, @iklboo. I've not heard that they've closed since the end of April, when I took the test, and they've been active on social media (I feel like a bit of a stalker knowing that!). But they'll all be working from home as it's office-based and not key work, so that could slow things down.

It might do, yes. It could be difficult arranging somewhere safe to conduct the interview, especially if it's a panel type one.

@iklboo that's true, although I'd assumed that they would interview on Skype or Zoom. I don't want to give up hope just yet, so I'll see what next week brings

How long ago did you email? If it's longer than a week, I'd email again.

@managedmis I only emailed yesterday. It's tricky because I don't want to pester them if they're snowed under, but I'd also appreciate being told if interviews are going to be postponed or if I've been unsuccessful! Thank you, I'll try them again next week if I've still not heard anything.
