Self Publishing

Hi All

I'd be really grateful to hear any experiences of Self Publishing, good and bad!!

I'm exploring this and would love a bit of insight into the pitfalls and bonuses of going down this route.

Pay for a really good editor and a cover designer.

The number of books I see that have obviously just been written and then put out without even getting a third party cursory read through is horrific. And a good cover will sell your book. Also get your cover blurb checked and re-checked ( I know someone whose book has gone out with spelling mistakes in the blurb).

Given your lack of overall replies @ItsNowOrNever, why not post again under the Creative Writing topic? You may get more traffic over there and it will all be of an interested kind.

And the advice you receive may well be helpful to others on that topic!
