Going to work after shielding WWYD?

Kind of a straw poll really, I am well aware that there are a million CV threads but I don't want to derail anyone else's so I'm after a yes or no really. I think know what I want to do but unsure whether I'm being a twat or not.

I am shielding at the moment, due to finish third week in June. I work in a school. I have a child at home with diabetes who is not in the year groups to return at the start of June. Would you go straight back to work or would you look at other options?

Yes to go back.
No to wait until cases are more stable in my area.

I'd wait.

Shielding is being extended so it’s not relevant.

Tatty101 · 15/05/2020 13:56

Is it an official 'shielding' with a letter from the NHS?

If so, it is being extended according to the guidance on Gov.uk so I wouldn't be planning on too much too soon

When is shielding being extended to? I would wait if that's possible.

ClientQ · 15/05/2020 14:02

It's already extended until the 30th June on the website

It is only advisory. I think a lot of people will make their own decision based on their individual risks based on where they work.
