Please help me pick which dining chairs! 2 options

I've been dithering for weeks, I move into my new house in 2 weeks and need to order soon. I can't decide which chairs to order, it's difficult only looking online, I've seen the first ones in the shop a while ago in leather but not the second ones. I know which table I'm ordering, it's the Halmstad one. Which ones do you prefer?

2nd one definitely

violetgin · 15/05/2020 11:15

I'm leaning more towards the second ones also, I think the green is lovely and the navy in the other ones but won't match my decor in the living room as it's open plan.

I prefer the second one

Second one

I like the second ones

AlCalavicci · 15/05/2020 13:07

I prefer the 2nd one too .
But can you wait till you can try them ? A friend if mine bought some right at the start of the lock down , they look great but apparently are like sitting on lumpy old pillows .

violetgin · 15/05/2020 14:12

The second ones it is. I'm a little too inpatient to wait! I'll be waiting god knows how long for my sofa so don't want the place too bare/filled with my old stuff which isn't to my taste anymore and has been sat in storage for over a year. Also they're currently reduced as well as the table, it's likely when the store re-opens they'll go back to normal price.

Right choice op!

Fifthtimelucky · 15/05/2020 14:20

I would never buy a chair without sitting in it first. When I bought my dining chairs I looked online and liked two different styles. I went into the shop to see them and found them both really uncomfortable. I ended up buying another style entirely. They don't look as nice as the ones I originally saw, in my view, but they are far more comfortable.

mencken · 15/05/2020 15:24

as mentioned, wait until you can sit in them. Not clear if they are leather, fabric dining chairs are obviously very stupid especially if you have small children.

those do look like backache-central to me!

Davros · 15/05/2020 18:46

Get them! Enjoy them! 🍴

Duvetdweller · 15/05/2020 18:48

I have the first one and they are so comfortable. I’ve got them in pink and also have the long grey benches with the backs on. I love our dining room

Davros · 15/05/2020 19:02

Actually I think you'll probably be happy with either 🤷‍♀️

Guineapigbridge · 15/05/2020 19:09

Do you have kids? You're not worried about them being fabric ShockShockShock

The second one will invite crumbs, bellybutton fluff and dog hair into those buttoned areas ShockShockShock

HazelBite · 15/05/2020 19:30

Whichever is the narrowest, think of times like Xmas when you want to stick more chairs than usual around the table

dontgobaconmyheart · 15/05/2020 21:10

Not a big fan of either and I wouldn't be confident to buy chairs I've not sat in- though I appreciate that is problematic currently.
2nd option is a bit TOWIE for my taste and I think they're a bit bulky for the table style but I'm sure they could be returned even of it were a faff? I'd have got one of each and tried them, and then decided and ordered the set.

candle18 · 15/05/2020 21:25

Prefer second ones as well.
