Getting 3 year old to take medicine

Posting here for traffic and because I couldn't see a more suitable board....
I desperately need to get my 3 year old to take her laxative powder. She can taste it in water/ milk which is all she will drink. We tried sprinkling it on her cereal my
and just general bribery. Nothing works!!!
Any miracle suggestions?

I put my daughter's in a tiny bit of squash and call it princess juice! I usually follow it with a strawberry or a banana because that's how princesses drink their juice!

My dc took it in orange squash.

When they were tiny I used to spend bloody hours squirting calpol syringes of movicol and orange squash into their mouths.

Is it laxido? We used to put it in a little yogurt like petit filous.

She won't drink squash annoyingly. Will try yoghurt 🙁

What about flavoured milk? Maybe make it with a little water then add to flavoured milk.

What type are you using? We found that paediatric plain movicol is much preferable to laxido.

It's called cosmocol. Flavored milk might be worth a shot. It's so frustrating

I would definitely explore whether you can be prescribed plain movicol instead. It's more expensive, but is fairly tasteless as long as it's well mixed.

And good luck! More of my dc's younger years were spent thinking about constipation than I care to remember, it's really tough.

Thanks everyone. Well persevere over the weekend and can the doctor on Monday.

We do what @troppibambini did too and then bribe incessantly to drink lots of water. It’s not the ideal way to do it but it gets it in them!
