My 15yo boy has started getting spots - could anyone please advise a good cleaning regime face wash etc which is kind to the skin also. Is clearasil too harsh?

My lad uses the Nip+Fab teen skin range, he found Clearasil too harsh.

Mine uses Thursday Plantation face wash and takes a Teenvital vitamin daily.

Mine used Freederm wash, scrub, serum and moisturizer. It was the only stuff that helped. He also drank a lot of water and took a fish oil supplement, bee propolis and a vitE supplement every day.

Mine both had great results from the three step products from La Roche Posay (called La Roche Posay Effaclar). I found it from recommendations on here. It also cleared my adult acne (I've had problem skin forever) and is hands down THE BEST routine I've found for spots and blemishes.
It's pricier, but is often on offer and lasts ages. If you do try it just be prepared for the skin to look worse before it gets better - we all found it seemed to draw out impurities in the first week or so of use before clearing everything up and keeping the skin clear.
A lot of other popular products have an ingredient which people can be sensitive to and which makes things far worse (think it's benzoyl peroxide).
Hope you find something which helps your son as it can really affect confidence etc.

I also recommend La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo. I would also advise washing pillow cases every couple of days and I insist my son has a shower and washes hair every morning as I noticed his skin worsens if he has a couple of days without bathing.
