How to replicate slightly tipsy...without alcohol??

I’m not a big drinker, not evangelical or anything, just incredibly lazy and prefer to be able to drive everywhere. Also up & out at work very early doors. Oh and also a bit fat, but working on not being.

Anyhow, last night I had a (large) glass of wine before friends zoom catch up and I was SO much more in the mood. Really perked up.

I’ve had a similar perk up after a double espresso, but The Internet tells me not to drink caffeine after 4pm or I won’t get to sleep.

So, any intel on how to (legally) replicate that large glass of wine feeling please, without the alcohol?

Love51 Isn't that something to do with briefly starving your brain of oxygen? That's definitely a thing people use to heighten pleasure.

Hope you've recovered now.

Smiley I think my spinning around days are long past. I may be the same age as Kylie but that's as far as it goes Grin

dance cardio workouts like one leave me feeling good afterwards. Similarly running with upbeat music playing, although this won't work if you don't want to leave the house

Really intense sex?

SmileyClare · 14/05/2020 12:05

Ha ha Jane I'm not sure why my brain can't cope with being dizzy like it used to. I started feeling ill the last time I sat on a roundabout with my niece. Grin

@JaneJeffer it wasn't doing the yoga, it was stopping very suddenly (to channel Clarkson)
By briefly I meant like 12 seconds, it was yesterday and I'm fine! More intense than spinning though.
Yes, @SmileyClare that sounds feasible. Not something I should make a habit of, I expect.

Yeah it's probably a bit dangerous Love ! I googled it, it's called apoxia and gives brief feelings of euphoria. It's one of the reasons some people like to be strangled during sex Shock ..not suggesting you're into all that though!

One of my friends gets her fix by horse riding. Strutting around the front room straddling a broom might give a similar buzz?

JaneJeffer · 14/05/2020 13:19

Glad you're ok now Love

This will be no help due to lockdown but back in the olden days, when we used to go to things called "pubs", if I were the designated driver (i,e, dirinking nothing), I would always feel a bit giddy because of the atmosphere.

In your case, I'd just have a glass of wine.

There is weed, which I would highly recommend in place of alcohol. You can vape it nowadays. If you have green fingers you could even grow your own.

There's also a legal substance called kratom which is supposed to give a nice floaty relaxed feeling, but it didn't do anything for me personally.

bigchris · 19/05/2020 16:27

@CockCarousel did you have tes or tablets ?

I've heardbit can be good for anxiety ?

meemaw12 · 19/05/2020 16:36

Threespiritdrinks.com keeps coming up on my Facebook as an alcohol free buzz. J haven't tried it, its a bit pricey but might be worth a try?

Dont get into taking opiods for the love of sanity. Years of utter hell.

PhilCornwall1 · 19/05/2020 17:20

Codeine?

Not too smart an idea if you don't need them. I do have to take them and if I do with a glass of wine, I'm sorted. 🍷 💊

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 19/05/2020 17:24

You can legally buy CBD oil, which gives you the relaxed feeling you get from weed without the actual high. I've tried it and it's not bad, but try it first time on a night you're not driving!
