What do you mean by shrink? Psychiatrist? Unusual term in UK, where do you live?

Clue is in the title, isn't it? or Pyscbologist. I'm assuming means 'Psychologist'. I know Americans typically use the term 'shrink'. Not everyone on this site is from the UK

People in those professions can’t really give you advice online - could you maybe say what’s up and people can perhaps point you to some support?

@Ajollygoodwrap I realise not everyone on here lives in the UK. I just wanted to know what they meant by shrink as folk use it in different ways. It's one of my bug bears on this site as most people assume we all live in England 😁
