My mum gave me some sourdough starter, a couple of days ago, about half a jam jar full. It looks bubbly and smells slightly sour, so I think it's good to go!
How do I look after it? I've been keeping it in the fridge and I understand that I should take it out for about 24 hours before I use it and feed it but I am confused by how much I should be feeding it as every recipe I look it is for different amounts and I don't seem to have very much starter.
Help and tips gratefully received! I love sourdough bread and it would be amazing to be able to make my own
