Anybody else feeling a little optimistic labour might be in with a chance with Keir starmer? I was pessimistic during the leadership elections due to abject state of the party and left labour about 3 years ago but starting to think there may be hope, based on evidence so far.

It's also a bad sign imo when the right-wing media love the leader of the Labour Party

This is what concerns me this is what we saw with Blair.

I’m not sure they can win without it. Blair yep an example of using it to win a landslide. Ed on the other hand

Anyone who stands a chance of beating this shower is ok by me. Maybe not ideal for everyone, but he strikes me as a more principled and statesmanlike individual who could inspire some confidence.

I dont think he is anything like Blair thank goodness!!!

HeronLanyon · 14/05/2020 12:58

He’s my mp and I have been led by him in court. I like him. My own politics are left of his. I just thank god there is a coherent direct and clear holding to account of the tories - finally.

I’m loving the daily fail smear that turned out to be him buying land for his mum so she could rescue donkeys - I can only hope someone labour leaning planted the story.

Another one hoping he knows what a woman is.

Seems ok so far but I'll reserve judgement until I know.

bellinisurge · 17/05/2020 12:04

Donkeygate is fucking brilliant. I sooooo hope it was a Labour plant.

JovialNickname · 17/05/2020 13:37

Every time I see the title to this post I feel like saying oh yes, Sir Keir, I definitely would. Not too bad at all!

Then I realise that's not what the thread is about Grin

CayrolBaaaskin · 17/05/2020 13:38

Yes I like him

FerneGreene · 17/05/2020 13:41

Donkeygate is gold.

There's nothing the right wing press hate more than helping out your elderly parents and... donkeys Grin

flamegame · 17/05/2020 18:44

I’m having a good old laugh about all the donkey jokes on twitter - massive own goal for the daily fail.

I know, even I’m starting to wonder if he is the real mark darcy - human rights and helps his mum have rescue donkeys. Quite different to Boris...
