4ft small double beds

Can anyone help me out please? I'm so confused. I'm looking for a 4ft reframe only - we already have a mattress. Not a divan base. Must have storage underneath. Love the idea of ottaman beds. Does anyone know where to find a wooden or fabric ottaman bed frame in 4ft? Please!

Sorry if this is a bit obvious, but have you been googling? I think 4ft beds are becoming very popular. There are lots of companies in West Yorkshire that make bed frames. I am sure there is a company based in Batley that I have bought from in the past.

Look for a company called Beds on Legs.

I nearly bought from here when I needed a 4ft bed.

Most places sell 4ft beds now. I’ve seen them on most major furniture retailers; just be sure to avoid ikea as their sizes are different and may not fit your mattress.

I bought from Bristol Beds in 2007 and the bed is still in great condition.

Warren Evans did them and they make beautiful beds but I believe they ceased trading.

But they have lots of end opening but we went for side opening so we could have things at the end of the bed in their bedrooms.

Didn't all doubles used to be small doubles in the past?

I was getting more expensive bedding to fit my small double bed but now just get double sets as they fit better on extra deep small double mattresses.

Argos did have a grey or black small double end opening ottoman bed base for £189 or side opening for £199.

Warren Evans is trading again? I thought they went out of business a few years back. Great beds, they made an ever so slightly smaller and taller single for us. I’m off to have a look at their website as we need a king.

I thought a four foot bed was a standard size double.

Mind you my bed is over 20 years old and it was sold as a standard size double then so I take it bed shade got bigger since then

I have a 4ft ottoman, got it from Bensons about £200

We got our 4 ft small double from Bensons too. However it hasn't held up well..(ottoman style) It has one occupant, my 23 yr old DS2 who has autism and flops down, lands heavily although he's not a big lad, and the slats broke very quickly and the lifting mechansim is iffy. It's perfectly adequate for two tho if needed!

I got an ottoman type (gas lift) from eBay. It’s great and I think it was only about £150. We have the double versions in our other bedrooms. More than happy with eBay beds.
