My son is being set lots of homework using downloaded PDF workbooks. Some are 20 plus pages. He's expected to work through them and then upload his work to the school site for marking (although none of us has actually been marked as yet).

We queried they best way to do this with school and they suggested we print the PDFs and take photos. But it's taking forever and means taking 20 photos, sending via email, uploading to PC and individually uploading one by one to the school site.

It's not possible just to copy and paste into word as the pdfs include graphics like flowcharts, spider diagrams etc..

I really wish the school would look to make this easier but it's not happening so I'm hoping that maybe someone could suggest a way of doing this.

I've heard of adobe pro, but it's over £100!

Use TinyScanner or another app. It will bunch the photos you take into one PDF file so much easier to upload.

If you are talking about actually editing PDFs, you can insert text and comments just with the free Adobe Reader.

If you open a PDF in Preview you will be able to annotate (ie, highlight, underline, insert text boxes). Go to the View tab, choose Show Markup Toolbar. I would've thought these tools would be enough for what he needs to do ie filling in an answer box etc. If you make a duplicate file to start with, you'll then have a clean version, and his answer version to send to school. I'm a proofreader and use this method for remote clients and it works really well.
