Need somewhere to hide (lighthearted)

A couple of weeks ago, I did a short voice recording for a radio programme on an internet only radio station. It was played a few times during the programme (and I hated every second it played because I hate how my voice sounds) and I thought that was the end of it.
I was listening to the station this morning and what did they play?
Anyone know somewhere I can hide while I get over the embarrassment?

Oh no, that's my worst nightmare - actually being filmed for something so there's visual and sound probably would be. Uhm, on the plus side, they obviously think you had something of substance to say and came across well to repeat it Flowers

Many people hate the sound of their own voice on record, it’s some kind of weird phenomenon.

@MrsJonesAndMe It was about 15-20 seconds long and a funny definition (eg Jasmin82. Noun, likes dogs and reading. That kind of thing). It was done for the musician the programme was about and, as the station is normally aimed at a different genre, I honestly didn't expect to hear it ever again!
@onemorepringle That's interesting. Whenever I've said to friends before that I don't like hearing my voice, they've just dismissed it and said I'm being daft. I always thought I was the only one who felt that way about their voice.

I cringe at the sound of my own voice too! How strange!

onemorepringle · 12/05/2020 08:19

I feel that way too! And I bet you have a nice voice really.
